I want to start doing this

Found out about it recently, scam baiting is something I'm interested in trying and of course the settlement money would be nice... The problem is, I hardly get any scam phone calls - why is that? I would think my phone no. is pretty publicly available - do I need to purposefully put it on some shady scam sites to get started?

Any tips for beginners would be nice, thanks!
