Biopsy for diagnosis?

Hi there

Recently I found out a nodule I have been monitoring grew to the point where I needed a biopsy, since it was high risk of cancer. My tests came back negative for cancer but the cell morphology could be explained by Hashimoto's disease, according to the pathologist that ran the tests.

Has anyone here been diagnosed based solely on a biopsy before? I have done an hormonal screening a few years ago and the endocrinologist said it was all fine. But I do have symptoms (hair falling, fatigue, depression, weight fluctuations) that occur even though I have a pretty healthy and active lifestyle.

Just trying to figure out what the next steps are!
