What does the “infrastructure layer” of AI actually look like?
Most discussions around AI focus on models and applications.
But every major tech shift eventually creates a foundational layer that everything runs on.
The internet had TCP/IP.
Cloud had Linux.
What does that layer look like for AI?
Is it just better deployment tooling?
Or something deeper like routing, optimization, monitoring behavior, and governance across models and clouds?
I’ve been thinking a lot about this while building in the space, and it feels like we’re still very early in defining it.
Curious how others here think about the “AI infrastructure layer.” Omnideploy
