How many calls are you guys missing after 5pm?

Genuine question for contractors here. I was talking to a few HVAC contractors in Calgary and almost all of them said the same thing — they're losing booked jobs to competitors who answer faster, especially evenings and weekends.

One guy said he missed 3 calls in one weekend that all went to the next guy on Google.

Curious if this is a widespread thing or just a local problem. Do you guys use anything to handle after-hours leads, or just accept the missed calls and lost clients?
