Gravelbike thats suitable for a child seat?
Dear fellow cyclists. My Ghost Road Rage got stolen a few days ago and I'm looking for a replacement. I used the bike for commuting (mainly in the city) and took some tours occasionally. For me, a gravel bike with road equipment (like my stolen Ghost Road Rage) was the ideal mix.
I also used a child seat that was mounted to the frame below the seat and that worked well for short travels like bringing my kid to the creche. For longer journeys I use a Thule Chariot trailer. The Ghost had a frame that allowed me to mount a child seat like the Thule Yepp Nexxt 2 Maxi to the frame (below the seat), but to me it seems that many other frames are not suitable for that. I'm looking for a bike that's not more than 1.500 Euros/Dollars/Whatever, that fits my need. Is there anyone with experience?
PS: I read that gravel bikes might be unsuitable for child seats not only due to their frame shape but also because the (aluminium) frame might be too weak and could break. Is this a justified concern?
I hope someone can help me. I really miss my old bike and the fact that I could use it with a child seat but also to go on longer tours.
