Information in Europedia and Tooltips

Suggestion

So first let me preface by saying I'm a new player. I understand its a new game with a deep learning curve and I'm fine with that. I am just frustrated with the fact that I have to rely on outside sources to learn this game instead of finding it contextually in-game.

I'm going to use "Literacy" as an example.

When I mouse over the hyperlink in-game for Literacy it states:

This is how well our Pops can read and write. It is mostly beneficial, as the average literacy in our country impacts our Research Progress positively, but it also increases the impact from the Market Price of their needs on the Pop Satisfaction.

Okay - that's a good tooltip. But when I click on it to open the Europedia entry in-game it shows me the exact same message. How utterly useless. I would expect the Europedia to dig deeper and explain some basic game mechanics such as:

  • How you raise literacy?
  • How is literacy lowered?
  • What is affected by literacy?
  • What does literacy affect?

As an example: If I look at RGOs missing Employees and hover over the number of months estimate I can see Average Literacy of Peasants gives me a bonus to my Monthly Promotion. Why is that not included in the Europedia?

From the way I see it, the Europedia is just all the tooltips but with a table of contents and an index. Feels like it should be more.

So I know what the answer is - check the game wiki. But why is core information about how to play the game OUTSIDE the game? It would be such a boon to have everything available contextually.
