# Hatsu: Barrier Barrage

**User: Ram Callahad**

# Nen Category: Emission / Enhancement

# Type: Battlefield Control / Defensive

Occupation: Treasure Hunter

User Profile: Ram is **impatient, reactive, and quick to anger**, often responding to situations in a **volatile and impulsive** manner, he acts on instinct although he **calms down relatively quickly** and rarely dwells on past frustrations. He cares deeply for his friends and allies, Ram’s Hatsu are **primarily long-range**, favoring rapid projection and battlefield control over intricate detail, allowing him to strike or manipulate from a distance with efficiency and speed.

# Overview:

The user emits their aura and enhances it to create **extremely sturdy, near-invisible barriers**. These barriers can take multiple forms—panes, domes, or angular shapes—and can float or remain anchored.

**Key Traits:**

* Near-invisible unless hit or under close inspection.
* Exceptionally durable, capable of stopping physical attacks and minor Hatsu.
* Can be rapidly deployed in multiples, forming a “forest” of barriers for area control.

# Mechanics:

**Barrier Forms:**

* **Pane:** Thin sheet for blocking attacks.
* **Dome:** Protective hemisphere.
* **Angular/Spike:** Guides or restricts enemy movement.
* **Barrage:** Rapidly deploys multiple small barriers in a fan or cone.

**Restrictions / Conditions:**

1. **Number Limit:** Maximum of 10 barriers at once.
2. **Range Limit:** Barriers must stay within \~100 meters of the user.
3. **Maintenance:** Barriers require constant aura maintenance; prolonged deployment drains aura.
4. **Breaking Limit:** Heavy attacks or high-level Hatsu can pierce barriers.
5. **Crossed-Arms Restriction:** Any barrier **not attached to the user** must be erected and maintained with the user crossing their arms.
6. **Vow/Condition (Optional):** Barriers cannot be used offensively to crush or harm others; breaking this vow cause the Barriers to shatter violently

# Advanced Technique – Shatter Shot:

* **Mechanic:** The user forms a barrier around their fist and enhances it. Upon striking a target, the barrier **detonates due to the broken restriction**, amplifying damage.
