MacBook Air M5 for ASIR and cybersecurity?

Hello, I want to buy a MacBook Air M5 base, next year I will start a higher degree of ASIR (Network Computer Systems Administration) and later cyber security. I have my doubts, if it will be enough for me or if I will have compatibility problems when virtualizing or doing any other task related to the course. I want the MacBook for portability, low consumption, power, battery consumption and Apple ecosystem because I already have an iPhone. Since it is a €1,200 laptop, I want to hear your opinions and recommendations to make a decision that I do not regret. Thank you all.
