(Hunger Games Fandom Discord server) Writing Prompt #1

"Write a short passage of the events of your OCs morning before the Reaping! Can be for any year of the Hunger Games, whatever is most accurate to your OC!!"

Part 1:

It's a regular day in 13, but in the rest of Panem, it's the day the Capitol devils force children to kill each other and maim them with mutts. For the 4th housing wing, the stamper is a 13 year old named Gong Clark, also active in enforcing social discipline, goes from door to door, telling people in the 4th wing that scheduling will take place in the Ash Shane Commons. Last year it was in training center 42, old and dirty as usual, having the daily muster in a different commons then usual is 13's reaping day tradition.
Tong has just woken up, he brushes his teeth, and goes to Leeg, kissing her good morning, he kisses him back with gusto. They wait for the radio out in the lounge, for further instructions. An announcer orders everyone in the hall of Commons.
The announcer in District 13 today, Soldier Lewis, and all information focuses only on a young girl named Rue, and a girl from the coal land who volunteered for her sister.
> Our leader gives a speech and lights a candle, saying that to remind the people safe in 13 of the lives lost a small amount of mourning ash will be pumped throughout the ventilator. "Panem's parasite at its core corrupts the host with games, the ruling class distracts the workers in this way, when the time of justice comes, the Capitol will be as New York and Boston is today." Tong, Leeg and everyone else cheers.
>

The screen shows the ugliest looking Capitolites, a rich creature modified to look like a pig, another pale and thin because it took too much vomit juice, another with fungus growing all over their body replacing all of its clothing. These are the butchers of 23 children, the slides say they are called "escorts."
Next is a montage of brutal deaths that lasts 4 minutes
Tong goes to Bill whose birthday is on July 4th, Bill Howard says*"Imagine how messed up it would be to have your birthday be on reaping day" *
*"Wonder if its happened before"* Tong shrugs not like much information is given on tributes anyway.
*" I don't think that matters in an arena, some tributes their names, personalities, everything about them, erased, replaced with animals who will do anything to survive"* Leeg says, her eyes deep in contemplation
Notes

Very rough wip (depending on how much I edit it). For example Coin's speech is much longer though maybe Tong's just giving a summary. He ommited the 24 lights all 24 of whom go out with the admonition "train for those who we cannot save
