Not doing well, where to go next?
26yr old male, 230lbs. Diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2018, celiac via bloodtest in 2022. Have both Synthroid 125 and Tirosint 125. I agreed with my endo to take Tirosint 125 for 2 months and to come back but they set my appointment for 3 months out so that already fucked with me and I have trouble taking thyroid medication consistently. I've just been taking both Synthroid and Tirosint daily after getting up. I've had sleep issues for forever, thinking I might have sleep apnea. I'm not consistent with the thyroid medication, sometimes taking none and sometimes taking extra pills. I think I can be consistent with Synthroid, feels like Tirosint still is too weak or under-dosed. I have GERD, heartburn issues after gaining weight and my sleep sucks. Have been trying 4 pills of fish oil daily which makes me feel MUCH BETTER but then it gives insomnia, so go figure.
My latest labs on Synthroid 125, took too many extra pills one day about 25 Synthroid 125 one morning and then took a break from the medication for a week or two before getting the bloodwork. I've been taking Synthroid for probably about 5 years now and it's not being well the entire time. Still seeing my same ghetto endocrinologist and I think he's just tired of my bullshit.
- I'm thinking of just staying on my Synthroid and joining the gym and maybe getting on some more supplements. I know I need to get my vitamin d levels up.
