longing for sharing love to animals in need

can anyone recommend any animal adoption organizations, non-profits or animal shelters that are open to a woman in her early 30s who is desperately longing spending her free time/off days with animals..my partner isn't ready to commit to owning a pet just yet, so I love to be able to share my love to any animal who needs some 🤕😭🫠
