34 weeks +2 with mild preeclampsia
Hi all, this is my first pregnancy after a miscarriage about a year ago. I am 24 and have been diagnosed with hypertension for about 3 years so I knew I was going to be a high risk pregnancy. My OB has been nothing but thorough and recommending me to a high risk specialist from the beginning so that has all been great. But this week at my weekly appointment (34 weeks), my blood pressure was a little elevated so they sent me straight to OB Triage to be monitored. They did a 24 hour urine sample and my protein levels were elevated so they said I have mild preeclampsia. Since I am only 34 weeks pregnant, I got the betamethasone shot to help with baby’s lung development just in case. I have no severe symptoms other than the fluctuation in blood pressure and protein in my urine.
Can anyone share their experience with preeclampsia? If yours started mild, did it worsen? Also did you end up delivering early?
