Invasion of Privacy for interior cameras in Airbnb, Police Report Filed (Los Angeles, CA)

Location: Los Angeles, CA.

Stayed at an Airbnb summer 2024. I filed a police report for invasion of privacy for an interior camera pointed at my bathroom door and once I filed the police report, Airbnb let me out of the 3-month stay. It took 10 days of being in contact with Airbnb support. There was lack of basic necessities, safety, and the listing was not as described. Plus harassing Airbnb host.

Airbnb announced March 11, 2024 the ban of interior cameras worldwide and goes into effect April 30, 2024. I stayed June 2024. The listing did not mention any interior cameras inside. he camera model has the ability to record audio and video.

I have documented a paper trail of my entire stay. I experienced emotional distress (medication was prescribed for) and two doctors visits for an injury falling on the stairs (no handrails and uneven steps).

I need guidance on where to begin, as I know the two year time-frame of taking someone to court is approaching. Ideally, I would like to sue for invasion of privacy, emotional distress, personal injury, and airbnb for negligence. However, Airbnb did refund me my entire stay after pulling teeth with them.

Where should I begin? I would prefer a pro-bono. Any advice is appreciated.
