Avoid Rubber B Rolex Rubber Straps - Fit Disaster + Cracked on First Use (My Experience)
Hello Rolex Owners
UK guy here with a Submariner and an Explorer II. I saw Rubber B everywhere pushing “Swiss Made” luxury rubber straps and their Trustpilot looked solid, so I pulled the trigger on two straps for around $500 total. Worst decision I’ve made in watch gear.
Both were listed as fully compatible with my exact models. The Submariner one arrived and straight away it wouldn’t align properly with the case - massive gaps, sat crooked, looked terrible even with the original Rolex clasp. The Explorer II strap cracked across the end link the moment the watch shop guy (professional installation) fitted it. First try, brand new strap.
Contacted support the same day with clear photos. Their response was basically “your watch must look slightly different from the listing photos.” Same references, listed as compatible. Absolute nonsense.
Then came the return policy wall: because I’d opened the packaging and tried them on the watches, no refund allowed - even though the fit and quality failure was on their end. Asked for a prepaid return label? Denied.
I ended up doing a chargeback through Amex. Took a few weeks but I got my money back. Rubber B’s reply? A threatening email telling me to drop the chargeback or they’d “take legal action.” Classy.
The straps showed up from Miami, Florida in a cheap plastic bag that stank of strong chemical rubber - like the cheap gloves you get at the doctor’s. Not exactly the premium Swiss Made experience they advertise all over their site. I also got hit with over $100 in UK import taxes on top.
My local watch shop now warns customers about them. The guy told me he’s seen the same fit and cracking issues before, and the only way people got refunds was through chargebacks.
Attached is a photo of the Submariner strap on my watch so you can see how badly it fails to line up.
Has anyone else had proper nightmares with Rubber B straps? Wrong fit despite “compatible” listings? Cracking on install? Support giving you the runaround? Or am I the only one who had to escalate to Amex and get the legal threats?
Would really like to hear real experiences before more people waste their money.
TL;DR: Rubber B Rolex rubber straps - overpriced, didn’t fit either watch, one cracked immediately, no returns allowed even when it’s their fault, threatening emails after chargeback, cheap smell, ships from Florida not Switzerland. Strongly avoid.
