CPU Bunting is Outrageous and makes no sense

Been playing RTTS as a 3rd basemen. Why on earth does the CPU bunt in the most absurd situations? 0-2 count down, CPU down ELEVEN runs and Adley Rutschman is bunting for a hit? Tyler O’Neil laying down an absolute dime of a bunt in a 2-2 count… players with no speed it just makes zero sense
