Immersive Nation has finally fallen. I just finished the v2.0.0 "Undead" overhaul for my survival project.
"I’ve always felt that Minecraft survival was a bit too 'magical' and not gritty enough. For the past few years, I’ve been building the Immersive Nation Universe—starting with 1800s frontier towns and moving into a mid-century 1965 metropolis. But every empire falls.
Today, I’m finally releasing the v2.0.0 'Medical & Combat' Update for the Undead era. My goal was to create a tactical survival experience where a single mistake actually has consequences.
What's New in the v2.0.0 Overhaul:
- The Tiered Medical System: No more instant healing. You now have to scavenge for specific medical supplies.
- Standard Syringes stabilize the infection and buy you time.
- Advanced Syringes purge the virus entirely.
- Experimental Syringes are the 'Holy Grail'—they cure you and grant a temporary adrenaline boost (Resistance/Regeneration) to help you fight out of a corner.
- The Hardware (Lucille): I spent a lot of time on the 16x16 pixel art for this one. It’s a high-knockback, barbed-wire wrapped bat designed specifically for horde control when you run out of supplies.
- Tactical Survival: This is the culmination of the 'Operation Cobalt' lore. The modern world is gone, and you’re left in the ruins of the cities we once built.
I’m a solo developer and I’ve been pouring my heart into these scripts and textures to make the 1.20.1 experience feel unique. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the balance of the syringes or the aesthetic of the new gear!"
