There is currently a Facebook post up by a business that calls themselves a local news source. They apparently took his issue with a different local news organization’s comments on a radio show.

I think everybody can respect the struggle that it is running a business and trying to make an income but attempting to take everything as an attack or a personal slight and make comments on it is reflective of a low level of professionalism.

I’ll say that cute dog photos are a a great way to put distance between showing up at the scene of an active suicide attempt and live streaming, going off in Facebook comment threads for anybody that offers any amount of criticism towards the “news organization”, and running historic pieces on the greatest tragedies that occurred in this town but misspelling the names of the victims.

It is nice to have a business that is providing images and coverages of certain positive things in this but sometimes the coverage from that “news source” feels more like planted stories from businesses and voyeurism for what is some people’s worst day on this planet than actual news reporting.

It would definitely be nice to have a news organization in this town that actually gets to know the people that built this town not just the ones who have money in it.
