AusNet Limited to 5kWh

I’ve read through some other posts on this and just wanted to get confirmation from other Victorian AusNet users.

We have just had 15kW Solar installed with a 10kW SigenStor Inverter and 32kWh battery stack.

In the couple of rainy overcast days the system has been operational we have generated ~30kWh and consume around ~14kWh.

AusNet limit the export to 5kWh.

We are currently with Energy Australia and we’re looking to move to an energy provider who can offer more than a pathetic 35c/kWh import and 1.5c/kWh export

If Amber charge $25 a month on top of the AusNet connection charge to offer “access to Wholesale prices” but their general feed in tariff is 7.22c/kWh then the 5kWh allowed by AusNet does t even cover that monthly fee or am I missing something important?

So the questions are

- Is it worth considering Amber or do more traditional suppliers like Origin make more sense?

- How do people manage the sale of their 5 kWh? Do you just export when you have it or do you somehow wait for it to spike and then sell it through a wholesaler?

- In the long run does it make sense or am I just overthinking this (shocker) when all you can do is export 5 kWh per day?
