I visited the holy montserrat monastery and it changed my faith...

Blog

Recently I took a trip to Barcelona, Spain. I didn't know where to go or what to do at the beginning. I went to the basic touristy things like the cathedrals, beach etc.

But then I did some research and found that the montserrat monastery is only an hour away so I took a tour bus and went there myself.

Upon arriving I couldn't believe how beautiful the nature and scenery was but what shocked me the most was the beauty of the actual basillica and the statue of virgin mary, and just how beautiful and holy the place was. I could feel God's presence it was truly a magical place.

I'm a really strong believer already but when I go to places like this it makes me believe even more, seeing how much effort was put into building this place into a mountain just reminds me that there are people who built this who dedicated their lives to building it and it's so special. I felt great knowing this is all because of Christianity and my culture and the whole experience was amazing.

If you're ever in Spain, I 100% reccomend you to go there, there's tours on GetYourGuide and I felt it was cooler than sagrada la familia and this is much less known.

If you want to see what it looks like, here's my trip. And tell me what you think: https://youtu.be/trIKR4ue9v0
