temasek poly or overseas foundation prog

Discussion :snoo_thoughtful:

hi, looking for second opinions because i’m really quite stuck rn

right now i’m deciding between tp cbp (common biz) and overseas foundation. i currently have an offer from uwa college foundation packaged with uwa ppe, and i can also defer it to the oct intake, so i do have a bit more time. but honestly that also makes things harder because i keep overthinking everything

my main issue with tp cbp is that i’m not against it, but i’m also not excited by it. i feel quite neutral towards the business content — like i know it’s useful/practical and i can see why it matters, but i don’t feel strongly drawn to it either. so it’s hard because it’s not a clear yes or no

at the same time, i’m also scared of choosing the overseas route because i’m not even sure if ppe is actually for me. i’ve been looking at lecture notes and course materials for ppe, including other unis like unsw and uq, and some of it honestly feels too abstract for me. i can’t tell whether that means it’s just unfamiliar and i need time, or whether i’m more drawn to the idea of ppe than the actual content

another thing is that i’m only 17, and i’m scared i might be too young or not mature enough when starting uni. i worry that if i go straight into something like ppe, i might not understand things in the same way as older students / my peers yet, and that it might affect how much i can keep up or benefit from the course

i’m also not even sure if uwa is the right uni for me if i do go overseas. i’m open to other countries too, and i’m currently also looking at unsw and uq. so part of my dilemma is not just local vs overseas, but also whether i should even be locking myself into uwa/australia/ppe right now

some context:

•	got a1 for o lvl art

•	want to keep art/creative options open

•	interested in law but not super confident in myself

•	drawn to topics like society, gender, current affairs, internet culture

•	interested in the psychology behind art

•	journalism/media/writing also interests me, although i feel less confident in that now

so overall i feel like i’m stuck between:

•	a more structured/practical route that i feel neutral about

•	and a broader/more exploratory route that sounds interesting in theory, but that i’m not sure i’m ready for or even suited for yet

i’m scared of making the wrong decision too early, so i’m just looking for second opinions from anyone!!

thank you!
