Any tips for a newbie?

My homie just gave me his old set of discs (not sure if that’s the right term lol I please be gentle with me I am learning lol) but it seems sick and I wanna get into it.

Any general recommendations or things you wish you woulda known when you started? (Etiquette, general tips, anything lol) thanks in Advance this seems like an awesome community!!
