Caraway , Wise ( Waldorf ) , charter schools in Edmonton

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to decide between Caraway School and The Wise School for my kids, and I’d really appreciate hearing from parents who have firsthand experience with either (or both).

A bit about what I’m looking for:

A strong balance between academics and personal development

Supportive environment that builds confidence and independence

Good communication between teachers and parents

How well the school prepares kids for later grades

Some specific questions I have:

What has your overall experience been like?

What are the biggest strengths and weaknesses of each school?

How do your kids feel about going there?

Do you feel the cost matches the value?

Anything you wish you knew before enrolling?

For context, we will be moving to Edmonton in the summer. Kids will be in grade 2 and kindergarten in September 2026. Kids are still young, so early development, social skills, and a positive learning environment are really important to us.
