Why does this sub exaggerate the Jazz tanking so much?
Jazz vs Process Sixers is world's apart:
People on here have been talking about last 5 years, when the Jazz have only been bad for 4 years:
Jazz:
25-26 - 21 wins so far
24-25 - 17 wins
23-34 - 31 wins
22-23 - 37 wins
21-22 - 49 wins
Sixers:
17-18 - 52 wins (this is the season you reference)
16-17 - 28 wins
15-16 - 10 wins
14-15 - 18 wins
13-14 - 19 wins
Really though the comparison should be their worst 4 years, because Jazz were competitive in 21-22.
Sixers 4 tanking years they won a total of 75 games. So far in the Jazz worst 4 years they have won a total of 106 games. And the season is not over.
Jazz had a single sub 20 win season. The Sixers had 3 straight.
37 wins isn't even really a true tank in my mind either. That had them as the 9th worst record in the league that year. So it's really more like 3 tank years, which only really the last two being truly bottom of the barrel.
