I'm currently 12 episodes into V3 and I'm not liking it as much as 1971. I'm sure it gets better overtime, but here are the main things I've noticed that drag it down for me.

1. The show feels kinda empty/low energy. There aren't as many supporting characters as the original and even though a lot of them got replaced overtime, the show having a large cast added to the atmosphere and made it feel like there was more going on. There aren't as many characters for the cast to bounce off of here, and it's noticeable. Additionally, the show feels low energy because again, it doesn't feel like as much is going on compared to the original. I get that it's trying to take a more serialized approach to its pacing and maybe thats why, but it feels off compared to its predecessor.

2. The episodes are slow. Idk why but it feels like each episode is 30 minutes instead of 23. They drag quite a bit and sometimes I forget we're still on a specific plotline until near the end of the second half. This show's actually similar to W where it splits all its episodes (so far) into two parts rather than the original only having some two parters, but I feel like this just adds to the sluggish pacing.

I basically went straight from 1971 to V3 after finishing it so these things stick out a lot.

My observations of V3 compared to the original show
