Getting Files off Older HHD

Unsolved

I Posted something similar to this a few months ago, but it was before I had gotten a SATA cable and tried to open the hard drive.

I have a friend who would like to get data off her late grandfather's hard drive. He was a somewhat famous artist and musician. He published a lot, even was the main composer for the SF 49ers band for a while, so a lot of valuable sentimental stuff there. She just wants to see the art and music he was making in his final days. Especially because his wife is fading, getting very confused and the only thing that makes her coherent for a moment is listening to her husband's music.

Just got around to getting a SATA to USB cable and when I plug it in it pops up with

"Enter a password to unlock the disk “3.35555555555553434302.4004444444444444444444[[\\\[[\\\[\\\\\\\\\[\\\\\[\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\”.

Is there any way to get data without that password? Or am I fully screwed?

I Plugged the HHD via SATA to USB into my 2020 13 inch macbook pro running mac OS tahoe 26.31.

Only computer I have, but I can probably get my hands on a PC if that will help.

Any thoughts or ideas would help. Someone once recommended "Recovery Mode" but that seems to only apply to my SSD inside my mac, not the one I am connecting.
