Misoprostol

I just got diagnosed with a MMC. On Wednesday night I took 800mg of Misoprostol orally. I had intense cramping around 3 hours later but I haven’t had anything but light bleeding since. I called my doctor and they prescribed me another round but instructed me to take all 4 pills vaginally this time. If this doesn’t work they’ll direct me to a D&C which I’m trying to avoid because I can’t afford it.

Has anyone had a better experience taking them vaginally rather than orally? How many rounds of misoprostol is average before everything is passed?
