Being billed for cellular service for numbers that were reported a month ago
I have been a Verizon customer for 15 years and finally made the switch to a different carrier. I switched imported my numbers to T-Mobile on February 25, 2026. I have a T-Mobile bill to prove that.
The final nail in the coffin that made me switch was the fact that Verizon kept charging me for data service for a laptop that doesn’t even have a phone line or use data. I repeatedly asked customer service to remove it from my bill and they didn’t. Prior to that when I upgraded my phones two years ago through Verizon, for 2 to 3 months, Verizon accused me of not turning in my old phones and try charging me for them. This is despite the fact that Verizon’s own tracking labels for the return phones from their trade-in department stated they had received the phones. I called several times for two months and finally had to threaten them with a lawyer before they resolve the issue.
Now Verizon is trying to bill me for lines that had been transferred over to another carrier over a month ago. I switched my service February 25, 2026 yet Verizon is trying to say the lines weren’t ported over till March 18. That’s not true. I have a T-Mobile bill that says otherwise. And this isn’t a final bill they are trying to bill for continued service online they no longer have. Verizon is purposely trying to keep my lines on the account despite these lines, having been successfully ported to T-Mobile so they can continue to bill me on the account. I have repeatedly asked them to remove those lines from that account because they’re already transferred to another carrier. I have spoken with Verizon customer service agents who keep promising me credits, and then never deliver.
Next time I have to contact anyone it will be a complaint with the FCC if this doesn’t get resolved. Verizon you really need to work on your customer service. It is absolute shit and I’m not paying you one dime because I paid off all my devices and you’re charging me for service services I no longer receive. It’s outrageous and laughable that you’re threatening to discontinue services to my lines that I no longer have with Verizon. I have a T-Mobile bill to prove that.
