Maladaptive Daydreaming - Christian

An addiction I have had since I was little (18M) has ruined my life and i'm 99.99% sure it is sinful. The addiction is called Maladaptive Daydreaming, where you basically make up a fantasy land in your head and just daydreaming. I have had it my whole life but it has gotten especially bad this past year. I cant focus during bible study, social interactions, class, because my mind just goes straight to fantasy land. I spend most of my day daydreaming. I am not asking if this is sinful or not, because I know it probably is, but in the astronomically low chance it isn't, It is ruining my life, socially and professionally.

I really want to stop. what is the christian perspective on how to stop? what does the bible say? what do early church fathers, pastors, reformers, priests, people who overcame it, have to say about it? other than fasting and praying what can I do to try to stop? anything helps, wether it is advice, motivation, insight! please pray for me. this has to end.
