Help getting beeswax out of fabric

Help/Question

I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed, but if it’s not, I totally understand.

Since sewists are a creative lot, I’m hoping someone can help. I have some reusable food covers someone gave me years ago. It’s the fabric in beeswax type. I don’t use them but love the fabric. I’d love to incorporate the fabric into a quilt, even if it’s a small part of the quilt. Is there any way to get the beeswax out of the fabric? Google tells me to scrape the area, but it’s basing the information off a candle spill and not a deliberate act.

Could I soak it out if the fabric? Or boil it out?

Thanks in advance for any help. 😊
