I work at the VA and my Husband got selected for the military- what are my leave options?

My husband got selected for the military- he will go for training and then will find out his base following. We have a young child. Can I use LWOP to help while he is at training and then for moving and while looking for a job near the base? If so, what if I don’t end up finding or choosing a VA job there— are there any consequences?
