Looking for a reason not to DNF Shifter City Fated Mates: A Bond of Trust (spoilers for books 1-3)

This rant contains spoilers for Shifter City Fated Mates books 1-3 and a chunk of book 4 so forewarning.

I'm struggling to find a reason not to DNF Shifter City Fated Mates: Bonds of Trust. I was super into the first two books to the point I read them both in a weekend. The third fell off a bit for me, but I kept reading. Now, I'm in the fourth book and I'm just.... unmotivated to keep going.

Don't get me wrong, the identical twin dragon shifter spice unlocked a very specific new kink for me so kudos for the book for that. But I can't help feeling like the MMCs are assholes.... And not to the FMC or each other, but to like.... the world.

Even the "nice" one was annoyed when some humans needed saved from being raped to death... Like they wouldn't have saved those women if their council wouldn't have been annoyed with them.

There was a tiger shifter that was supposedly the best friend of one of the MMCs but the MMC gave zero shits about the guys family being tortured. Didn't try to reach out to the guy at all or bargain with him when he showed up. They just blamed him for the sins of one of his pack mate who was being black mailed. And they claimed their magical vagina mate would have acted differently? They should have just blackmailed her, she'd have thrown herself in their kidnapping van herself.

How are they any better than the witches? If I was a human in this world, I'd at least be listening to the Witches World Domination Platform. Let's find out how they feel about 3 day weekends and universal healthcare before making any hasty decisions.

Is it worth pushing through to the finale? I've read this much, I feel like I should finish it.
