I don't know how to feel about Hikaru or 'Hikaru'

The more I watch and read I can't help but feel disconnected from him. I dont know if I see him as Hikaru or an intruder in Hikaru's body, but I can't form an opinion on him. Anyone else feel the same? I also am unsure about how I feel towards Yoshiki x Hikaru, cause, if the real Hikaru were to come back, would I still ship them? Do I ship Yoshiki with the entity? Because if so, I know how troubled he feels towards 'Hikaru'. It's like he's just clinging onto it because he had always had feelings for the real Hikaru.

So this is a love triangle?

Yoshiki likes Hikaru

Hikaru didn't like Yoshiki

'Hikaru' likes Yoshiki

Yoshiki doesn't(?) like 'Hikaru'

I have also seen a comment on how Hikaru dying and turning into a monster is a metaphor for him coming out, and his past 'straight' self "dying".
