Totally removed coil whine.
I just want to share my experience with coil whine and the solution I did, I never saw it online not even once.
So basically my pc was all smooth no hiccups until around 4 months in, there was this coil whine and I’m not sure if its UPS or GPU coil whine. I did my research and did all of the possible fixes (except opening the ups and applying special electric glue to the vibrating parts), from undervolting, to repositioning the ups because it might be loose etc. but to no avail nothing worked, so I just settled with the thought and hoping that it would magically vanish someday (some would suggest that its like a break in period but I highly doubt it for this is almost the 5th month already). Then Ive noticed that the temps are very unusual for the GPU because on the icue monitor its stuck at 84-86 degrees but on the nvidia overlay its 78+-. So what I did is I added some clearance between my case and the floor around 4-5cm and voila temps drop from 84-86degrees to 62-71degrees
and the good thing is there is literally zero coil whines now.
TL DR: The cause is heat and its because there is not much clearance between the floor and the GPU. Addressing the heat issue basically removed the coil whine.
Hope this helps!
My case is Lian Li a3 btw.
*This might not work for everyone
*Those temps are from crimson desert and some games are much more cooler when it comes to temp like re9 or cp2077.
