Getting bridge next week

Late 50s F, just had gum and bone grafting and one of the four middle bottom teeth removed. Not enough gum/bone to hold it. Plan was a retainer-type thing with a fake tooth (don’t know all the lingo). Two week post-surgery appt Dr. said actually all three remaining middle teeth are mobile and suggested they be removed and get a bridge. Canines will have crowns and bridge attaches to those. Is that the best and only option? I am getting one implant but that’s on a back tooth.
