AVR for desktop setup, needs 5+ HDMI input
I am looking to consolidate my living room setup from a TV and a desk to just a desk. Currently I have two computers that output video to a Samsung G81SF and one does audio to my Audioengine A2+. I want to see if I can also attach the three consoles I have connected to my TV to the same display. The problem is the G81SF does not have audio output, so the HDMI selector I currently use on the TV won't cut it. (I plead the fifth on the current audio setup for the TV)
I am looking to get an AV receiver but I don't need anything too fancy, just that it needs at least 5 HDMI inputs. I am keeping the Audioengine A2+ so something with preamp audio out would be nice so all the cables route through the back, but I understand using a headphone port gives the same result. I suppose I could also pair with Bluetooth.
The Yamaha RX-A780 would have been perfect, and probably still overkill, but they don't make it anymore. Their RX-V6A would do what I need it to, but if I'm not using the 7.2 I think $800 is a bit pricey. I am currently considering settling for the RX-V385 and just having one of the PCs use another input on the G81SF since it does not need audio anyway, then connect the speakers via Bluetooth/headphone.
