Dr. Jennifer Anger is leaving UCSD on May 26th

Here's the message I got sent this morning.

"I am writing to let you know that I will be leaving the practice on May 26, 2026, to become the Chair of Urology at the University of Arizona. It has been an honor to care for you, and I am truly grateful for the trust you have placed in me. 

The continuity of your care remains my highest priority, and I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition to one of my colleagues.

For Gender Health Patients

Your care will be transferred to: 

Dr. Priya Lewis – a fellowship trained gender surgeon and Director of the Gender Health Surgical Program 

Dr. Cecile Ferrando – an experienced surgeon with more than 12 years of work in gender affirming care 

Both physicians are excellent clinicians who are dedicated to patient centered care. They have been fully updated on our shared patients. Our Gender Health team will help reschedule any upcoming visits so you can meet them, learn about your care options, and feel comfortable before moving forward. 

For Urology Patients

Surgical conditions will be evaluated and managed by one of our board-certified urology surgeons. For non-surgical urologic care, our Advanced Practice Providers are available to assess and manage ongoing health needs.

For Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Patients

Surgical conditions will be managed by one of our outstanding board-certified urogynecology surgeons. For non-surgical care of pelvic floor disorders or recurrent urinary tract infections, our exceptional Advanced Practice Providers will continue to address and manage your health concerns. ity. You will continue to have access to timely support, guidance, and any services you may need. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period.
