Final Diploma Assessment

Has anyone submitted a request for a final diploma assessment. Did you request it once you finished all courses or towards the end of completing all of them. How long did it take for ilc to answer and for you to receive your OSSD. I'm trying to be cognizant of time because I'm applying for uni and am doing my final 2 courses to get my OSSD. Thanks!
