[Recommendation Request]Can you guys help me pick a first watch for my boyfriend's 30th birthday?
Hello reddit! My beloved boyfriends is going to hit the big 30 this summer and I have been saving up 300 euros for a nice first watch for him. Neither him or I are big into watches. I just have a random fossil I wear almost all the time and only got it because it was 70% off & pretty. And he never owned one, we gotta change that tho! I just think it would be a nice gift for a more special occasion.
I just know I do not want an automatic watch for him, since his job dosen't allow him to wear one, and he couldn't be able to wear it on a daily basis. So one would be impractical for mr. boyfriend. Based on that, I think I'm looking for a quartz watch (battery one, I think it's quartz, i'm so sorry I have no idea what I am doing but try my best). He'd like a more slick and minimal design, with dark colors.
I found some that I think he would approve of, but have no idea how they are quality wise. These picks are simply based on design and esthetics. I would love to spend the whole budget, I would also be ok spending a little more if I find THE watch for him. But the more expensive ones are just not there look wise, the hands and numbers were too bulky for his liking. I saw a lot of automatic ones that have the mechanism showing that I thought are awesome, but I didn't see any quartz ones.
I was hoping you guys could help me out with opinions on these picks, or even other recommendations! So far from all of those the Jacques Lemans London is the one I think he'd like the best, but all are something on his taste.
