How do I improve if Im having a hard time drawing outside my artstyle? Aswell as application to new concepts to my own style.
For years Ive been trying to make my artstyle very cute and easy to draw during my ha years. Its about to end and recently Ive been wanting to draw more realistically, drawing all different types of proportions and body types.
Tho I draw chibi-like proportions and faces. Ive studied anatomy, Im able to draw kinda realistic simplified faces. (Not too realism just enough) I need more practice. Practice should make me be able to push my art to be better. However I cant apply much because of the style I use.
I cant draw too realistically or else it looks wierd. Trying to apply anatomy to chibis look odd. Drawing realistically kinda still looks like chibis with wierd proportions. I have a habit of drawing cute eyes and hands on the body too. Im quite stuck.
My goal is somewhat change my style or get a new one. Where Id to draw more realistically while also keeping my cute style. Merging the two is hard, and so is making another. How do I reach my goal of getting out this box.
