Balthazar and a hooded man

Hi guys, I'm doing a Balthazar's quest looking for what seems to be batteries and I stumbled upon a hooded man asking to help getting into Balthazar's tower. in the long game, is it worth helping the hooded man or stick with Balthazar?

many thanks in advance
