how to DESCEND the corporate ladder?
I realize this may be an unpopular question or action, but has anyone successfully descended the corporate ladder? basically going from a very demanding career to a more chill one?
I've been a project manager for most of my career, about 10yrs. so ive spent a good majority of my life in meetings that should have been emails and working many hours past 40 to hit deadlines. id like to continue to be employed but just want a less demanding job.
ive tried applying to project coordinator roles which are basically entry level, but often get denied because im overqualified. anything entry level I basically get skipped over because I understand companies are assuming I would just jump ship once I get a higher paying job. but I actually want to do the opposite and stay at a lower pay entry level job!
do I need to dumb down my resume? anyone that has been successful in descending, pls share how you did it!
