Why I’ve Never Entertained Human Value Systems.
Do you really feel like grading scales, “pretty privilege,” or “high value” are just reality… or do you think they reduce men and women—against each other into something superficial?
And if not why do you entertain people who think this way?
I personally don’t. And I’ll tell you why.
It has nothing to do with my self-worth. I have never in my life felt the need to compare or compete with another person for anything meant for me. And I’m firm about this. I would never feel comfortable rating myself or accepting someone else rating me, placing me on a scale as if I exist in comparison to another woman.
Even if someone may consider it a “compliment” doesn’t sit right with me when it’s rooted in comparison. That mindset already assumes someone is less than someone else, and that doesn’t align with me at all.
We’ve normalized language like “dime,” “6,” “10,” “pretty privilege,” “high value”… and we call it reality. But at what point do we stop and ask where that way of thinking even came from?
Because when I really look at it, It is conditioning.
##slavery
It traces back to systems where you were literally assigned value chattel slavery, trade, ownership. Ranking bodies. Deciding worth based on appearance, desirability, and usefulness. That mentality didn’t disappear, it evolved. It shows up in how you talk, how you date, how you choose partners, and how you measure yourselves.
#Mass Media
Then it gets repackaged through culture…
music, media, hypersexual imagery…
where people, especially women, are constantly presented as something to be evaluated, chosen, compared, CONQUERED, pimped and consumed.
And now it’s so normalized that people defend it as “that’s just how the world works.”
##History
The same world that once denied our grandfathers access to MEDICINE, housing, land, credit, and basic resources. The same system where survival often required assimilation-downplaying identity, conforming, even undermining one’s own household just to gain access.
And women weren’t even allowed to have their own bank accounts or credit independently until 1974.
So when we talk about “value” and “worth”… what ENTIRELY are we actually talking about?
Are we really choosing to accept that framework?
##Because even spiritually, that logic doesn’t hold.
Ifá Ìṣẹ̀ṣe does not deal in appearance-based ranking. It speaks on iwa pele-character. Ori-purpose. Clarity. Alignment. How you live your life and walk your path. It speaks on balance.
None of that has anything to do with being a “dime,” a “6,” or “high value.”
So when people try to tie grading humans into spiritual systems, that says more about their perception and character than any true understanding of the spiritual path they believe in.
If two people are operating with clarity, purpose, and alignment — building something real ie legacy, lineage, stability… what role does a rating scale even play in that?
What does that actually contribute?
Because if the foundation is comparison, ego, and surface-level value… what is really being built?
And if nothing substantial is being built-no structure, no depth, no skills-then what is the actual value being passed down?
What kind of legacy is that?
Because I see a lot of people today-coming from well-known or established lineages from 60 years ago -still scattered, still lost, still in arrested development.
So again I ask-
Do you really believe this “value system” is reality?
Or is it something we’ve been conditioned to accept?
