Can neuralgia pain cause brain fog?

I had a really humiliating experience yesterday. I was just leaving for work, but I couldn't find my car keys. I started panicking because I couldn't figure out where they might be - not in my work backpack, my jacket, and they weren't hanging in their usual spot. My bf told me "maybe you left them in the car, go downstairs and check, I'll keep looking".

As I was walking downstairs, I felt something in my pants pocket... Yes, the keys. I literally put them in my pocket 5 minutes ago and completely forget about them.

When all of this happened, I was in pain from my trigeminal neuralgia. So I just hope this was some sort of brain fog and I'm not getting early onset Alzheimer's (I'm 34)
