Gift card balance sitting in an account paid for by T-Mobile. Any way to move the money?
I loaded a Netflix gift card to my account before somewhat unexpectedly signing up for T-Mobile three years ago. They provide Netflix with ads for free and handle the billing, so I still have around $40 of credit sitting in my account. I haven't been able to use the gift card for anything like adding a second household family member to the account (and T-Mobile does not offer that option even if I bill it to my account with them). I want to watch a movie that's coming out soon but will not be available on the ad-supported tier. T-Mobile wants $11 to upgrade to the no-ads version, which seems like a waste given that I have unused Netflix GC money. Is there any way to get the gift card money moved to another Netflix account? Switch my T-Mobile benefit so it's applying to a different Netflix account? Anything else I didn't think of? I assume I can't upgrade from T-Mobile for a day, watch the movie and downgrade again after that and only end up paying for a day. Can I apply the gift card to a second account and use the money there?
