Will they commit me against my consent if I call a suicide hotline just to have someone to talk about things?
Male 37, 5’ 4”, 270-ish lbs, 200mg sertraline for OCD and Generalized Anxiety disorder, recent history of self-biting (developed within past year).
Will they commit me if I call a suicide hotline just to have someone to talk about things? Or does it depend on what mandatory reporting laws my state has on the books?
I just need somebody to talk to that’s trained in dealing with people who are sick of living and suffering. I don’t want to die I just don’t want to keep living with this mental hell. I’m just sick and tired of everything triggering me and having to deal with all the F’ed up BS that OCD does to my cursed brain and how it’s robbed me of a future of even being functional anymore.
I’m not thinking of doing anything right now, I just need somebody to talk to that’s trained in dealing with people who are sick of living and suffering.
PS
Since I’m here, would a PsyD-level OCD specialist be able to do anything for me or am I beyond help at this point? If this is where im at who should I be talking to, or is there even anyone?
