Legitimate car service (Kilkenny - Galway)

Traveling from Kilkenny to Galway in June, I’ve considered a train but it looks like multiple transfers and 4+ hours when the drive is only 2.5 hours.

I’m wondering if there are legitimate car services to get us this far? I’ve considered a rental, but I’m not comfortable driving outside of my country.

Doesn’t need to be extravagant or even private, would be comfortable with a bus or van or any other arrangement that can get us there quicker and without transfer.

Any ideas?
