Is it worth calling Centrelink?

I put in a claim on the 12th, it said due to be completed by 2nd-9th so I won’t be calling them until after the 9th. I will just scrape by and pay missed bills once it’s completed but I was just wondering if it’s actually worth calling or will they just tell me “they’re working on the claim and should be completed soon” ?
