AITAH for telling my(19F) bf(20M) not to make fun of how I felt during a conflict?

Sorry if this this too lengthy. I don't wanna miss anything.

My bf and I are doing long distance so this is happening through text messages.

For context, we were having a conflict a couple days ago. It was a misunderstanding, but without resolving it he said he was going offline. (I had told him before how much anxiety this gives me and hoped that he would understand. And I always prefer talking about things rather than holding grudges. Because if we are gonna stay together then there's no reason to argue and stop talking, and I never really stay mad at him anyway. We can have a disagreement then we can resolve it then go back to normal. That's what I would prefer. Ofcourse that's not what happens.)

He does this all the time and then I have to reach out to him despite feeling like he abandoned me and like he doesn't care as much as I care about him.

I said to him "you're doing this again" , "I'm feeling really scared to talk to you", "something happens and you do the things I hate the most." (I'm not saying that he shouldn't take space if he needs but it's always me who has to chase and beg him to be on good terms again)

Couple days later he joked about it. So I told him that i was serious at that moment and I in fact was scared at that very moment as well. So he asked me why.

I said "I'm scared to talk to you because I feel like we misinterpret things and I don't want us to fight and it let it escalate and then lose you I am scared of that and the silence the fight brings and when you act like you don't care"

I thought he understood how I was being vulnerable with him.

But then he joked about it again after a few days

We were joking and messing around. And we were arguing about who's stronger, obviously as a joke. So I asked him "did you get scared?" to something he said then he responded with , "scared ? Not me but I know somebody who was, a couple days ago." He said that as a joke again I know that. But I didn't really like that.

So I asked him lightheartedly "how is that funny to you?" Assuming jokes are supposed to be funny. He said "I hope we're joking"

I said "yeah but I told you a couple days ago that I was serious about his "

He asked "when"

I tagged that message

Then he said "you didn't tell me not to joke about it"

I said "I assumed we wouldn't joke about how we feel at a certain moment"

Then he shifts the topic and said "misinterpreting things is your problem not mine"

I told him we shouldn't bring up previous fights and do better now, he said "you should do better perhaps"

"Don’t blame me for saying something that you didn’t even object to before. I have said it before. So don’t act like i am being inconsiderate to you"

Then I said "If I wasn't clear before I would really appreciate if you don't joke about that It's that simple. I am not asking you to go back in time and prevent yourself from saying that"

Idk what was so offensive about all of this. I felt like he was only being defensive because he didn't wanna be wrong or the one to be blamed. And I wasn't even blaming him.

Then I thought it's settled now. So I tried to start a different conversation about the thing I was planning to work on next. He said "yeah nice. I'll study now. Ttyl"

I felt strange that he needs space because of this(he uses study as an excuse to let me know that he doesn't wanna talk) . And how he became the victim despite the fact that he started making fun of my feelings, even though joking about someone's vulnerability is not a great thing and doesn't take a genuis to figure out it shouldn't be done.

I didn't object, because I didn't wanna fight anymore either.

I spent 7 hours waiting for his message. It didn't come. I thought he got caught up in work so I messaged him. And I asked him why didn't he text. He said he got busy. So I told him he can continue that and I'll not bother him rn. He said "nahh, don't worry I'll deal with it."

We do talk and study, both at the same time sometimes. So I thought that's what he was doing. I felt relief that at least he's talking to me. I was bringing up different topics to talk and he was replying. I even sent him a video of two turtles and said "us" to lighten up the mood.

Then he said "right only animals love eachother right, others don't" I thought he was messing with me so I played along and said "yeah. Humans are animals too" He said "you just wanna argue atp" then I clarified I was joking he said the same.

Then again he said he was leaving. I felt hurt because it had been only ten minutes.

So I asked him why is he leaving when he said it'll be alright, before. He said he meant that he didn't have to leave immediately earlier.

I said "you just wanna stay mad at me" He said I'm assuming illogical stuffs again and it'll lead to an argument.

I said he wouldn't have messaged if I didn't. He said I am assuming again. And said "that's all you're good at"

I didn't know what else to say or do so I said, "okay study"

He left. Way before he goes to sleep. Didn't come to say goodnight. Didn't message me in the morning either.

It has been 15 hours. Since he left me on read.

I feel like it'll be disrespectful to myself if I reach out again. And I don't understand why this had to be a really big issue when all I asked him was not to joke about it again.

Please let me know if I am the one in wrong here. I really do love him and he's one of the very few people I'm close to. So it really hurts me when he treats me this way. I really cherish the moments when we are on good terms.

I have tried to tell him that I struggle with anxiety and bad eating habits and these situations make it worse. But it doesn't look like he cares about that. I told him once that I couldn't eat because he hadn't talk to me for an entire day. (Not because I was angry, I didn't have the appetite) He said I'm trying to manipulate him. And it's not his fault that I didn't eat.
