Advice about being a pre-med failing student

👶 Premed

Hi guys, I'm really not that good at redditing. So I sincerely apologize if I have broken a guideline or something (please let me know if I did so that I can fix it), but I could really use some advice right now.

For small amount of context, I'm a sophomore in college right now, and I'm finishing up my spring semester.

I didn't know for certain that I wanted to be pre-med up until the end of my freshman year, but ever since I've been on the path I've felt like such a failure compared to my peers. Freshman year my grades were alright, I had mostly A's and B's (and a couple of C's)... But I've failed two classes already.

I was really motivated to do well in school... But once I failed my gen chem class, I've just been so unmotivated to even continue studying that I'm failing practically all but one class. It's so embarrassing and humiliating, because I know that I'm smarter than this. I'm literally supposed to be in highschool just from my age. I know I'm not stupid. I just have no motivation to do anything when I feel like such a failure.

I truly do want to pursue medicine, I love the field and after shadowing so many doctors in different specialities I know that I just have such a passion for it and I love to help people as much as I can... I just hate how unmotivated I am when it comes to my classwork and I kind of really don't like myself for it.

I feel so embarrassed asking online for help, but is it even possible for me to get into med school (or even any grad school) when my stats are so bad? I would really appreciate personal experiences or any form of advice.

Thank you, and once again I'm so sincerely sorry if I broke any guidelines on this platform.
