My BPSO is starting treatment for the first time, any advice?

My (F33) partner (M34) of 8 years just got diagnosed with BP2 and is now about to start treatment for the first time. I know medication affects people differently, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice for things to look out for? Or what I can expect? Also, what were some of the ways you supported your partner as they started medications and what were some of the ways you supported yourself?
